This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Facilitates collaboration with Salesforce Administrators and Developers to confirm business requirements and assess proposed technical designs, taking into account factors such as security, scalability, and limits.
• Conducts peer reviews of designed builds.
• Develops, reviews, and comprehends Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce (as required) to extend Salesforce functionalities to meet complex business requirements.
• Acts as a member of the Salesforce team in creating Custom User Interfaces, which include Visualforce pages, Lightning pages, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
• Utilizes Salesforce APIs for integration with other organizational systems.
• Follows Salesforce best practices, maintains code documentation, and writes/maintains test classes for all custom development efforts.
• Takes responsibility for project development release cycles to implement and deploy new applications and updates to existing code.
• Collaborates with IT and Developers for necessary system integrations across the business.
• Implements and enhances data validation, deduplication, and cleansing strategies to ensure high-quality data in Health Cloud.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and general Salesforce security best practices, including field-level security, encryption, and audit logging.
• Troubleshoots governor limits, optimizes SOQL queries, and designs scalable batch/async processing solutions.
• Exhibits a proactive approach to Salesforce enhancements and updates existing code to align with best practices.
• Assists in planning and scheduling the rollout of new features and updates, coordinating with various stakeholders to align with business goals.
• Manages different Salesforce environments (development, testing, staging) and oversees the deployment of changes throughout the release pipeline.
• Implements and sustains a version control system (e.g., Git) to track changes and manage code merges.
• Utilizes and administers Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AutoRABIT to automate application development and deployment stages.
• Identifies and mitigates potential release risks, ensuring system stability and reliability before and after deployment.
• Reviews, develops, and maintains comprehensive documentation for release plans and deployment activities.
• Establishes and enforces change control policies, including peer code reviews, quality gates, and rollback plans.
• Implements and maintains automated regression testing for deployments (e.g., Provar, Selenium, or custom Apex test frameworks).
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Sciences, a professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Salesforce HealthCloud, Service Cloud, and/or Marketing Cloud products, along with a minimum of five (5) years of Salesforce development experience, including work with large data sets, bulkification, and the implementation and development of Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.
• General web development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Capability to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders and other Salesforce team members.
• Certification as a Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified DevOps Center Specialist.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, Salesforce Lightning Design System, and the Salesforce development lifecycle.
• Ability to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders.
• Additional Salesforce certifications such as Certified Salesforce Administrator, Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, or JavaScript Developer I are preferred.
• Direct experience with HL7/FHIR integrations, EHR/EMR systems, or healthcare regulatory requirements is preferred.
