This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Open doors: You will proactively identify and connect with construction teams, introducing them to Shape and arranging introductory calls that demonstrate how our product can enhance their project delivery performance. Comfort and confidence in making cold calls is essential—you should genuinely enjoy it!
• Refine our outreach strategy: Leveraging data and insights, you'll consistently enhance our approach, experimenting with messaging, channels, and engagement tactics to maximize effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the team: You will work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align efforts, share feedback, and ensure we are reaching the right individuals in the most effective manner.
• Grow yourself and others: We emphasize learning and development. You will have the opportunity to enhance your sales skills, share best practices, and contribute to the establishment of a world-class growth function.
• Shape how we scale: Utilize your experience in building outreach processes and systems to help us refine our SDR engine as we expand our consulting service lines and client base.
• Mastery: Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or construction technology. You understand how to engage decision-makers and guide them through the sales process.
• Communication: A confident and engaging communicator who can simplify complex ideas and make them compelling. You are comfortable conversing with both hands-on construction teams and senior business leaders, building relationships through a humanistic, empathetic approach—our customers are more than just numbers!
• Leadership: You take ownership and are unafraid of rejection, viewing "no" as just a stepping stone in the conversation. You enjoy experimenting with innovative ways to connect and provide value.
• Impact: You possess the ability to read between the lines, identify opportunities, and adjust your approach based on what is effective. You don't just schedule meetings—you open doors.
• Nice to Have (If you don’t have it now you will after joining):
• - Mastery: Experience with full-cycle/360 sales exposure. If you aren't currently an expert in construction or digital project delivery, you will be! We’ll equip you with the tools and knowledge to speak the industry’s language.
• - Communication: Expertise in the art of influence and persuasion, along with a robust network in the construction and/or tech start-up sectors.
• - Leadership: Early leadership or people management experience, including coaching or mentoring others. We are growing rapidly, and we encourage our top SDRs to step up and take on greater responsibilities. If you are ambitious, a clear path to advancement exists.
