Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop backend features and APIs utilizing Ruby on Rails as the main technology stack.

• Contribute to frontend development using React, including the creation of components and API integration as necessary.

• Create scalable backend services and APIs that support our applications.

• Develop reusable frontend components while ensuring a well-maintained UI architecture.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions that align with business objectives.

• Enhance application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

• Write clean, production-quality code with comprehensive test coverage (unit, integration, E2E).

• Review code, uphold engineering standards, and assist in technical decision-making.

• Diagnose production issues and ensure stable deployments.

• Engage in agile delivery processes and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.

• Foster knowledge sharing and provide technical mentorship within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Fundamental experience with React (components, state management, API integration).

• Extensive experience in building production APIs and backend systems.

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases.

• Familiarity with RSpec, automated testing, and robust engineering practices.

• Experience with AWS and/or Heroku.

• Knowledge of scalable and distributed systems.

• Proven experience working in Agile teams.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Polish, at least at a B2+ level.
