Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Reports to the Revenue Cycle Manager and assists with regional revenue cycle operations for California locations by utilizing advanced data analysis, denial trending, performance reporting, and focused resolution of intricate pre-bill edits.

• Identifies root causes of claims obstacles, quantifies financial implications, and provides actionable insights that enhance clean claim rates, minimize denials, and boost net revenue performance.

• Operates with a significant degree of autonomy under the strategic guidance of the Revenue Cycle Manager.

• Collaborates closely with Patient Access, Practice Managers, Contact Center leadership, clinical departments, and external vendors to facilitate data-driven process enhancements and comprehensive denial prevention initiatives.

• Acts as a pivotal analytical resource, converting performance data into operational recommendations that align with both regional and system revenue cycle objectives.

• Leads in-depth analysis of denials, pre-bill edits, and payer trends to uncover systemic challenges and assess financial impact.

• Works alongside the Revenue Cycle Manager to prioritize initiatives based on risk exposure, revenue potential, and operational performance deficiencies.

• Conducts thorough root cause analysis and spearheads the creation and oversight of corrective action plans to avert recurring denials and claim edits.

• Shares findings and strategic recommendations with leadership, translating intricate analytics into straightforward operational guidance.

• Promotes data-informed process redesign and denial prevention strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management

• Strong expertise in Excel and revenue cycle reporting tools

• Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and convert findings into operational recommendations

• Familiarity with billing, coding, payer reimbursement methods, and denial processes

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred

• Preferred experience in denials management
