Senior Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, review, and post intricate journal entries, ensuring precise accounting treatment in compliance with GAAP.

• Lead the month-end closing process for all revenue streams, guaranteeing adherence to deadlines and thorough analysis and explanation of variances.

• Calculate and uphold Contractual and Bad Debt Allowances for patient revenue, including conducting trend analysis and refining models.

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts to verify accuracy, completeness, and alignment with operational activities.

• Prepare and deliver revenue-related analyses to management, offering insights into drivers, variances, and trends.

• Facilitate monthly financial review meetings by providing detailed explanations for fluctuations and performance metrics.

• Assist in revenue forecasting and budgeting efforts by supplying historical data, insights, and variance explanations.

• Prepare and finalize Balance Sheet reconciliations for assigned revenue-related general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail.

• Support external and internal audit requests by preparing schedules, clarifying methodologies, and documenting processes.

• Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company policies, recommending improvements as necessary.

• Collaborate with Billing, FP&A, Operations, and IT teams to improve data accuracy, closing efficiencies, and cross-functional alignment.

• Proactively identify opportunities to optimize accounting processes and bolster internal controls.

• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and testing related to revenue accounting and reporting.

• Assist with ad hoc financial and operational projects as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting or healthcare finance.

• Experience with fully integrated ERP or accounting systems.

• Experience in supporting year-end audit requirements and contributing to audit readiness.

• CPA or progress towards certification.

• Workday experience.

• Strong judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate across departments.

• Solid understanding of healthcare revenue recognition and GAAP principles.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas).

• Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to interpret complex data.

• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical capabilities.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills regarding financial concepts.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• High integrity, strong work ethic, and proactive problem-solving approach.
