Senior Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure proper treatments for revenue, costs, and accounts receivable.

• Conduct ASC 606 analyses for emerging revenue streams.

• Assist in the monthly accounting close process by analyzing variances and delivering insightful financial reports.

• Comprehend applicable accounting principles and effectively communicate these principles to colleagues and business partners, mainly through written communication.

• Evaluate existing procedures and propose recommendations to foster process improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency and scalability.

• Work with minimal supervision.

• Facilitate the external audit process and identify opportunities for improvements in any inefficiencies found.

• Aid in the implementation, maintenance, and compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP.

• Conduct internal reporting and undertake special projects as requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant accounting experience.

• Proficient in MS Excel with advanced capabilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.

• Master’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Recent experience in auditing is preferred.

• Background in a technology or high-growth company operating within a SOX framework is preferred.

• Experience with NetSuite is preferred.

• Familiarity with Snowflake, SQL, Hex, and/or Metabase is a bonus and preferred.
