International Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily accounting functions for multiple entities, ensuring adherence to both local and international regulations.

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, incorporating group consolidation and analytical insights.

• Review and file VAT and other tax returns, guaranteeing precision and timely submissions.

• Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements, collaborating with local providers for the development of transfer pricing studies and necessary documentation.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and local accounting service firms.

• Reconcile accounts to verify the accuracy of financial statements, including conducting bank reconciliations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international or multi-entity setting.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and group reporting.

• Proficiency with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Netsuite) and advanced Excel capabilities.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills across diverse teams and countries.

• Proficient in English (both spoken and written).
