Revenue Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Evaluating customer contracts and providing insights to the sales team regarding revenue implications.

• Entering transactions into SAP following thorough analysis to ensure accurate revenue recognition.

• Staying informed about the latest product offerings and comprehending their revenue recognition effects.

• Understanding, applying, and implementing US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition standards in alignment with current FASB and SEC guidelines.

• Collaborating with the order management team to address issues related to customer contract processing.

• Accountable for reconciling unbilled revenue and conducting short-term and long-term analyses.

• Supporting any revenue-related activities associated with company acquisitions.

• Engaging in ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in Finance, part-qualified or equivalent; experience in a software company is a plus.

• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn about the application of US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition.

• Proficient in accounting software and ERP & CRM systems, with a preference for SAP and Salesforce.

• Bilingual in German and English; French language skills are advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills combined with strong organizational and analytical/documentation abilities.

• Experience in a dynamic environment that necessitates customer focus and timely, reliable responses to internal stakeholders.

• Background in analyzing contracts and applying knowledge to diverse customer scenarios.

• Skilled in analytical tools such as pivot tables and advanced Excel functions.

• Effective at communicating issues and escalating when necessary.

• Interest in AI-driven solutions and ongoing improvement of processes and procedures.
