This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a portfolio of approximately 65–75 qualified retirement plans from start to finish.
• Conduct annual compliance testing, including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), 401(a)(4), 414(s), Benefits, Rights & Features (BRF), and other necessary nondiscrimination assessments.
• Organize annual valuations and gather year-end census data for actuarial partners supporting Cash Balance and Defined Benefit plans.
• Provide contribution options, Annual Valuation Reports (AVRs), participant statements, Form 5500 filings, and client communication related to combo plans in collaboration with the actuarial team.
• Examine and interpret plan documents while suggesting enhancements to plan designs.
• Handle participant transactions, including distributions, loans, hardships, rollovers, and necessary plan amendments.
• Prepare and submit government forms including Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, 5330, and associated compliance documents.
• Carry out trust accounting for both pooled investment accounts and self-directed brokerage accounts.
• Evaluate Controlled Group and Affiliated Service Group ownership structures to establish plan compliance requirements.
• Import, validate, and reconcile participant census and financial information.
• Act as a trustworthy advisor to clients by offering timely insights on operational and compliance issues.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• 5-7+ years of comprehensive (A-Z) experience in qualified retirement plan administration.
• Previous experience with MEP/PEP plans is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of administering intricate defined contribution retirement plans with increasing technical responsibilities.
• Exceptional client relationship management and communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Detail-oriented with outstanding mathematical and accounting proficiency.
• Capability to work independently in a dynamic remote environment while juggling multiple competing priorities.
• ASPPA QKA designation is highly preferred.
