Senior Research Manager, Ultrasound AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development and implementation of the research strategy along with the comprehensive management of the research portfolio for the Ultrasound AI Center of Excellence.

• Lead a multidisciplinary team to formulate the research strategy.

• Ensure that the research portfolio aligns with the business objectives.

• Engage with and support clinical and technical sites in their research studies.

• Contribute to technical advancements to meet research requirements.

• Collaborate with various stakeholders to create detailed research strategies and plans.

• Manage prioritization and resource allocation across the entire research portfolio.

• Identify and pursue academic partners that align well with a GEHC partnership.

• Define strategic research needs for products based on insights from business planning sessions.

• Review and evaluate incoming research proposals.

• Formulate NPI-specific evidence strategies and plans, including evaluation frameworks.

• Collaborate with the Research Program Integrator (RPI) to aid in the execution of research studies.

• Promote the application of research findings and evaluate their impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences, engineering, clinical fields, or an equivalent discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in medical research and product development.

• Experience in AI development related to ultrasound imaging.

• Strong background in engaging with academic and clinical research collaborators.

• Proven research experience in clinical environments, industry, or government agencies.

• Demonstrated knowledge of GXP practices, research or device manufacturer regulations, research processes, or NPI cycles.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English.
