This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Transform the art team's vision into deployable and scalable rendering technology.
• Develop and enhance high-performance rendering functionalities for PC, console, and Mac platforms.
• Analyze and address GPU/CPU bottlenecks, including occupancy, tile memory pressure, indirect dispatch overhead, and bandwidth issues.
• Utilize modern pipeline techniques such as GPU-driven culling, indirect command buffers, and bindless architectures.
• Contribute to GPU memory management leveraging contemporary API features and memory heaps.
• Extend primary engines (including Unreal source) and custom C++ frameworks.
• Proven experience in rendering or engine engineering, having delivered rendering systems for AAA games, film/VFX, XR, or simulation.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ along with expertise in shader authoring and debugging (HLSL, MSL, or GLSL).
• Production experience with Metal, DirectX 12, Vulkan, or GNM/GNMX, and a willingness to learn additional technologies.
• Familiarity with the rendering pipeline, including rasterization and compute, as well as an understanding of hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
• Acquainted with contemporary techniques such as PBR, GI, ambient occlusion, volumetrics, and post-processing (AA, HDR, tone mapping, motion blur).
• Comfortable navigating unfamiliar codebases and making informed technical decisions.
• Strong applied 3D mathematics skills, alongside technical writing that resonates with fellow engineers.

• Hands-on experience with mesh shading pipelines (DX12, Vulkan, Metal).
• Understanding of modern hardware variations, including console and Apple Silicon unified memory architectures.
• Background in ray tracing or compute-driven rendering.
• Modifications to the Unreal Engine source.
