This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Collaborate and advise with financial advisors to facilitate the implementation of Columbia's mutual funds and/or separate accounts sales within a significant market or high-potential region.
• Provide in-depth product knowledge and effective sales strategies, while fostering Columbia brand recognition and demand.
• Represent all products offered and marketed by Columbia Management in the designated territory.
• Propel sales by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with both new and existing advisors.
• Impact advisor selections by employing a consultative sales approach and other performance enhancement systems.
• Collaborate with internal wholesalers and major market hybrids, as necessary, to formulate a business plan, oversee the territory, and achieve regional sales targets and objectives.
• Work closely with divisional leadership and regularly report on sales and activities.
• Identify client requirements and deliver investment and business solutions to financial advisors.
• Develop and sustain relationships with internal and external business partners, including marketing teams, senior leaders, and field leaders, to effectively serve clients.
• Facilitate sales or product training sessions and public seminars for financial advisors.
• Participate in joint sales presentations to current and potential clients.
• Provide consultation in portfolio development and practice management.
• Stay informed about industry and market trends and maintain a robust understanding of Columbia's products and services.
• Research and convey industry changes and trends that could influence the company's or product's positioning, to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years in mutual fund/separate account wholesaling or supporting a wholesaler in this area.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and experience with mutual funds and separate accounts.
• Proven ability to deliver compelling and effective sales presentations.
• Self-motivated with the capability to manage territory budgets and operate independently.
• Experience with separately managed accounts.
• Established connections within the channel.
• Possession of Series 7, state securities agent registration (S63 or S66), and state IAR registration (S65 or S66), or the ability to secure these within a specified timeframe.
