This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage Full-Cycle Recruitment: Oversee the complete hiring process for R&D individual contributor and leadership positions, ensuring exceptional execution from initial contact to offer acceptance.
• Serve as a Strategic Partner: Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, developing a thorough understanding of their business needs to effectively influence recruitment strategies.
• Propel Proactive Talent Strategy: Create high-quality talent pipelines through market analysis and long-term engagement initiatives, even when there are no immediate job openings.
• Utilize Innovative Sourcing: Go beyond conventional approaches by mapping talent networks and employing direct outreach to attract top-tier candidates not actively seeking new opportunities.
• Enhance Hiring Processes: Identify and address challenges proactively to streamline the hiring experience and add structure to complex searches.
• Foster Team Collaboration: Promote a "team-first" mentality that prioritizes collective success and transparent feedback over strict candidate ownership.
• Embrace Innovation: Leverage AI and modern technologies thoughtfully to enhance efficiency, accelerate processes without compromising quality, and maintain a relentless focus on excellence.
• Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including accountability for high-bar roles with difficult-to-fill profiles across various disciplines.
• Proven experience successfully hiring for technical positions, such as Product Managers, Engineers, and Product Designers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage searches for senior stakeholders (Director level and above), emphasizing trust, diligence, and influence.
• A “Talent Partner” mindset—providing insights, talent data, and structure that elevate the hiring process beyond merely filling roles.
• Experience in recruiting for technical roles within innovative and high-standard organizations.
• Proven capability to develop effective outbound and passive talent acquisition strategies in competitive markets—particularly where traditional methods are ineffective.
• Strong history of navigating complex hiring situations, including resistance, ambiguity, and process risks, while maintaining a long-term focus on quality hires.
• Excellent communication skills to align stakeholders, minimize surprises, and ensure clear execution.
• Experience using AI tools thoughtfully and purposefully to enhance the thoroughness, effectiveness, and efficiency of recruiting efforts—without sacrificing candidate quality or experience.
