Senior React Native Engineer, React Native – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders of client projects regarding status updates and recommendations.

• Lead the transition of legacy JavaScript code to TypeScript, ensuring that the code is high-quality and maintainable.

• Architect and develop new features for our React Native application by employing modern best practices.

• Optimize the application for offline-first functionality through the use of local databases and caching strategies.

• Collaborate with Redux for state management and guarantee smooth integration with the existing architecture.

• Utilize Expo to enhance development workflows and oversee app deployment.

• Design and implement efficient GraphQL queries and mutations for data retrieval.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, designers, and product managers, to provide a world-class mobile experience.

• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and mentor junior engineers on the team.

• Stay informed about the latest trends in React Native, TypeScript, Expo, and mobile development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, with a minimum of 4 years dedicated to React Native.

• Demonstrated experience working with TypeScript.

• Proficiency in state management libraries such as Redux, including middleware like Redux Thunk or Redux Saga, and RTK Toolkit.

• Strong understanding of techniques for optimizing mobile app performance.

• Outstanding problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on producing clean, maintainable code.

• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Very good proficiency in English.

• Additional Experience Desired:

• Practical experience with Expo for developing React Native applications.

• Strong knowledge of local databases (e.g., SQLite, Realm) and offline-first mobile app strategies.

• Proficiency in working with GraphQL APIs (e.g., Apollo Client or Relay).
