Senior React Native Engineer, AI-First

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Ownership of mobile applications at a lead level

• Delivery focused on AI-first methodologies

• Responsible for architectural decisions

• Design and manage mobile application architecture using React Native, from foundational elements to production deployment

• Make independent architecture decisions prioritizing scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability

• Develop and sustain backend services in Node.js that enhance mobile product capabilities

• Design and interact with SQL databases, particularly Postgres, with a keen focus on data modeling, performance optimization, and maintainability

• Establish scalable engineering practices across mobile, backend, and API integration layers

• Uphold application quality standards regarding architecture, code structure, testing, responsiveness, and developer experience

• Define the technical direction, moving beyond mere implementation details

• Set and uphold quality benchmarks for both AI-generated and manually crafted code

• Convert vague product requirements into precise technical solutions

• Guarantee the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

• Directly collaborate with clients to ensure effective communication and a thorough understanding of requirements

• Contribute to system design, performance strategies, testing methodologies, and engineering productivity

• Work within an AI-first workflow while maintaining high engineering standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in React Native, Node.js, and SQL databases, especially Postgres

• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining production-level applications

• Strong grasp of performance, responsiveness, maintainability, and overall software quality

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders

• Availability for full-time work in a remote setting

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on development experience

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Capability to pass a background check with positive references.
