Senior React Native Engineer, AI-First

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ownership of mobile projects at a lead level

• Prioritization of AI in delivery processes

• Make key architectural decisions

• Design and manage mobile application architecture using React Native, covering everything from foundational elements to production deployment

• Independently make architecture choices, emphasizing scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability

• Develop and sustain backend services in Node.js to support mobile product features

• Design and engage with SQL databases, particularly Postgres, focusing on data modeling, performance, and maintainability

• Establish scalable engineering patterns across mobile, backend, and API integration layers

• Oversee application quality standards in areas such as architecture, code organization, testing, responsiveness, and developer experience

• Define the technical direction beyond mere implementation aspects

• Set and uphold quality standards for both AI-generated and manually crafted code

• Convert ambiguous product requirements into distinct technical solutions

• Guarantee the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

• Work closely with clients to ensure effective communication and a comprehensive understanding of requirements

• Contribute to system design, performance strategies, testing methodologies, and engineering efficiency

• Function within an AI-first workflow while maintaining engineering standards

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in React Native, Node.js, and SQL databases, particularly Postgres

• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and managing production-level applications

• Solid understanding of performance, responsiveness, maintainability, and overall software quality

• Capability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders

• Availability for full-time work in a remote setting

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on development experience

• Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to successfully pass a background check with strong references
