Senior RCM Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee a significant volume of inquiries related to patient billing and internal operations, including but not limited to addressing denials, clarifying patient responsibility inquiries, and verifying insurance coverage.

• Manage claims from start to finish through our clearinghouse while collaborating with various stakeholders to guarantee a seamless billing experience for both patients and providers.

• Contribute to the enhancement of existing revenue cycle management (RCM) processes by proposing ideas for automation or new tools, refining individual steps, and ensuring consistent and reliable execution.

• Assist with special RCM projects, including billing initiatives specific to payers and the expansion of new service lines.

• Create and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) for RCM workflows, identifying process gaps and proactively recommending improvements to the team.

• Work together with cross-functional partners to provide updates on billing, escalate complex situations, and collect necessary information to resolve patient or payer issues.

• Collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams to test, assess, and enhance AI-driven billing tools and automation, actively providing feedback that influences the evolution of our RCM technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or healthcare operations.

• Knowledgeable in insurance billing processes, including claim submission, denial management, electronic remittance advice (ERA) reconciliation, and communication with payers.

• A patient-first communicator who is professional, empathetic, and capable of de-escalating billing issues while maintaining progress.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through; you ensure tasks are carried through to completion.

• Enthusiastic about technology and automation, eager to leverage AI to enhance billing efficiency, and comfortable influencing the development and application of these tools.
