Senior Quality Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the implementation of a quality strategy at a global organizational level, encompassing quality culture, systems, tools, and skilled teams.

• Support the organization in achieving prevention, ongoing improvement, thorough root cause analysis, prompt responses, and sustainable solutions to problems.

• Work collaboratively with relevant functions to meet quality objectives and achieve world-class performance.

• Engage in defining and executing short-, medium-, and long-term strategies, activities, and planning for the quality management system.

• Conduct audits and/or ensure audits are executed to evaluate compliance with the established system.

• Advocate for the vision of zero defects and establish methods to meet ABB, customer, and stakeholder requirements.

• Serve as the process owner for specified quality-related processes, systems, or tools.

• Outline and document plans, implement and communicate actions, oversee and manage progress, and drive continuous process enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

• An MBA is advantageous.

• Over 10 years of experience in Quality Management, encompassing auditing, writing/maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS), overseeing testers and inspectors, and root cause analysis.

• Certified Lead Quality Auditor, at a minimum, for ISO 9001:2015.

• Proficient in ISO 9001:2015 and the forthcoming 2026 version.

• Proven leadership in driving change, leading cross-functional training and meetings, and utilizing strong analytical, planning, communication, and persuasive abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, technologies, and metrics, with a focus on root cause and failure resolution for complex technical challenges.

• Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel approximately 25% as required.
