Senior Quality Engineer – AI Augmented

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and deconstruct vague product challenges into specific, well-defined test cases and plans, taking ownership of the process from design to production release.

• Contribute to our AI-centric engineering culture by sharing best practices, documenting effective strategies, and elevating the team's proficiency in AI integration.

• Proficiently utilize AI tools such as Claude Code, Augment, or their equivalents to streamline implementation timelines, followed by a critical review of the outputs.

• Work in close collaboration with Product and Design teams to pinpoint specification gaps, identify edge cases early, and provide feedback when a product is not ready for launch.

• Establish quality standards by ensuring well-organized, maintainable code; conducting comprehensive code reviews; ensuring sufficient test coverage; and identifying AI-induced bugs before they are deployed to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in QA Automation Engineering.

• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing automation projects within technology or SaaS settings.

• Proven expertise in end-to-end test automation.

• Experience in constructing and sustaining scalable test automation frameworks.

• Advanced proficiency in Playwright or similar frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium.

• Strong command of JavaScript.

• Familiarity with BDD/Gherkin syntax and its implementation.

• Experience in designing automation frameworks from the ground up.

• Comprehensive understanding of API testing and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

• Strong knowledge of QA automation best practices, including test design, framework maintainability, scalability, and influencing architectural decisions for automation frameworks and tools.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development and testing tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Augment, or similar).
