Senior QC Manual Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.

📋 Description

• Analyze and resolve production issues affecting live hiring events.

• Conduct functional, regression, and end-to-end testing for hiring event workflows.

• Validate APIs and integrations utilizing Postman.

• Reproduce, document, and monitor defects using Jira.

• Collaborate with Client Support, GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to address client concerns.

• Oversee production systems and assist with incident triage and validation tasks.

• Validate backend data through SQL and address data discrepancies.

• Assist in testing for architectural changes, integrations, and new platform releases.

• Investigate frontend and network-related issues with browser developer tools.

• Ensure prompt issue resolution while adhering to SLA expectations.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint testing, and release validation activities.

• Design, implement, and maintain test cases derived from product requirements and business workflows.

• Convert business needs into effective testing scenarios and validation strategies.

• Contribute to enhancing testing quality, workflow reliability, and platform stability.

• Support high client satisfaction by ensuring seamless execution of live hiring events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or production support settings.

• Extensive experience with manual testing, including end-to-end workflow and user functionality validation.

• Proficient in regression testing to maintain platform stability post-releases and enhancements.

• Practical experience using Postman for API testing and response validation.

• Experience in testing REST APIs and validating backend integrations/services.

• Strong SQL expertise for backend data validation, troubleshooting, and test verification.

• Experience documenting defects, test results, and workflow issues through Jira.

• Solid understanding of business workflows, product functionality, and user journeys.

• Capability to identify, design, and execute relevant test cases and validation scenarios.

• Ability to interpret product requirements and convert them into effective testing plans.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Support, and GTM.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint cycles, testing ceremonies, and release validation.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience with WCAG standards and accessibility testing tools.

• Experience using Datadog for monitoring, log reviews, and troubleshooting, along with knowledge of Kafka and asynchronous workflow validation.

• Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release validation processes, and experience with SaaS or customer-facing applications.

• Awareness or understanding of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar.
