Senior QA Manager – Mobile Games

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of quality assurance for one of our major live mobile games on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Guarantee high-quality releases through effective test planning, execution, regression testing, and support for staged rollouts.

• Establish practical QA coverage for various devices, operating system versions, store builds, SDKs, advertisements, in-app purchases, analytics, and remote configurations.

• Identify, prioritize, and document issues with well-defined, actionable bug reports.

• Lead QA automation initiatives and continuously enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and external QA partners.

• Monitor live game quality, investigate crashes, ANRs, performance issues, and prevent regressions.

• Provide clear assessments of release readiness and make go/no-go recommendations.

• Maintain test documentation, release reports, and changelogs in Jira & Confluence.

• Advocate for a quality-first mindset throughout the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of QA experience in mobile gaming, preferably with live-operated free-to-play titles.

• Strong proficiency in mobile testing on both iOS and Android, including familiarity with Google Play and App Store release processes, TestFlight, various testing tracks, and staged rollouts.

• Experience in testing mobile free-to-play monetization flows: advertisements, in-app purchases, consent/ATT, attribution, analytics, SDKs, and remote configuration.

• Background in QA automation, Unity games, and contemporary QA tools and workflows.

• Familiarity with crash reporting and monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase, Crashlytics, DataDog), alongside a solid understanding of mobile stability issues such as crashes, ANRs, and freezes.

• Strong knowledge of mobile game telemetry, validation of analytics, and event tracking.

• Experience collaborating with external QA vendors or working within distributed QA teams.

• Proficient in using Jira, Confluence, and modern AI tools to enhance testing, documentation, and QA efficiency.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.

• Highly organized, proactive, and passionate about delivering outstanding player experiences.
