Senior QA Engineer, Manual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance the comprehensive QA strategy and processes for entire products, identifying the most effective manual techniques to achieve "world-class" quality standards.

• Organize and execute exploratory and manual testing for intricate features, going beyond mere specifications to guarantee an intuitive and seamless user experience.

• Serve as the advocate and definitive source for quality, assisting both internal teams and clients in pinpointing systematic quality deficiencies while establishing processes to address them. Promote "quality at the source" throughout the development lifecycle.

• Take ownership of the documentation and reporting of quality metrics and bug tracking, ensuring that the product team, engineers, and clients have transparent visibility into the project's health.

• Collaborate with PMs and TPMs to establish acceptance criteria and oversee release approvals.

• Lead cross-functional investigations into complex quality issues, driving them to resolution in collaboration with engineering and product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in testing complex web, mobile, and API-based applications.

• At least 2 years of experience serving as the sole QA on a project, capable of creating a testing strategy from scratch.

• A keen sense for identifying bugs and the manual testing expertise to uncover issues that automated scripts might overlook. You possess a deep understanding of user experience as well as coding.

• Strong comprehension of client-server architecture, modern engineering stacks, and the ability to utilize DevTools and API clients (such as Postman) for in-depth technical audits.

• Practical knowledge of how manual testing integrates within a contemporary CI/CD pipeline and the capability to collaborate on release cycles.

• Proficient in maintaining test documentation and effectively communicating test results to key stakeholders.

• A risk-based testing mindset, with the ability to clearly convey technical risks and quality trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A proactive individual who learns rapidly while working independently and is always seeking ways to enhance the "how" of software development.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
