Senior QA Engineer – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance the mobile automation testing platform for both iOS and Android.

• Develop and sustain the unified QE SDK utilizing WebdriverIO and TypeScript.

• Integrate smoke, regression, and release-gate testing into GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows.

• Implement test parallelization, tagging, stability practices, and automatic flake quarantine.

• Enhance test observability via dashboards, trend tracking, and management of test-run artifacts.

• Oversee cloud device-farm coverage, device matrices, session configurations, and cost efficiency.

• Aid in QE SDK onboarding through Claude Code skills and contribution guidelines.

• Guide engineers on testing methodologies, CI/CD integration, and reliability practices.

• Shape the long-term automation architecture and bolster release confidence for Trust Wallet’s cryptocurrency wallet.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in QA automation/SDET roles with complete framework ownership.

• Strong practical experience with TypeScript.

• Experience in mobile automation for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Demonstrated capability to construct and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Comprehensive understanding of flake root causes, retry strategies, quarantine, and stability metrics.

• Engineering-level knowledge of Web3 or blockchain concepts, including wallets, transactions, signing, and networks.

• Exceptional collaboration and asynchronous communication abilities in a remote-first environment.

• Experience with WebdriverIO and/or Appium is a plus.

• Familiarity with incorporating feature flag systems into automated testing sessions is a bonus.

• Previous experience with quality dashboards or data-driven test analytics is advantageous.

• Exposure to containerized or cloud-based testing infrastructure is beneficial.

• Experience in performance or visual regression testing is a plus.

• Must possess the legal right to work in the country of residence.
