Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure product quality and readiness for release.

• Analyze product and technical requirements to create effective testing strategies and ensure comprehensive coverage.

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and exploratory testing strategies across web, mobile, API, and backend systems.

• Perform regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing for key player-facing features.

• Identify, document, track, and assist in troubleshooting defects until resolution.

• Evaluate release risks and offer QA recommendations for complex features and customer journeys.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to identify risks early and enhance quality throughout the development process.

• Utilize tools such as Postman, Swagger, DevTools, Charles Proxy, Proxyman, and emulators to verify functionality and investigate issues.

• Validate backend integrations and ensure data consistency using SQL queries and debugging tools.

• Employ AI-assisted tools to enhance test coverage, expedite defect investigation, and boost QA efficiency.

• Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers on best practices for testing and debugging techniques.

• Assume responsibility for testing strategy and execution for intricate features and initiatives.

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of QA processes, tools, and test coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance with a strong emphasis on manual testing.

• Extensive experience testing web and mobile applications within complex production environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.

• Experience testing APIs with tools such as Postman or Swagger.

• Proficient troubleshooting and debugging skills across both frontend and backend systems.

• Familiarity with tools like DevTools, Charles Proxy, Proxyman, and emulators.

• Knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting purposes.

• Proven experience in incorporating AI-assisted tools into QA workflows, test design, debugging, or defect analysis.

• Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and take ownership of testing efforts.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional Agile teams.
