This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership of projects from start to finish with clarity, technical proficiency, and accountability, ensuring top-notch quality standards across teams.
• Promote quality and coding standards, advocating for engineering excellence and driving ongoing improvements.
• Design, implement, and maintain effective and reliable automated tests for both frontend and backend using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Strategically approach test automation; collaborate with developers to achieve balanced test coverage throughout the testing pyramid.
• Contribute to and refine the overall testing strategy, enhancing QA processes and metrics.
• Prepare and review test plans to validate both functional and non-functional specifications.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing; document, track, and verify defects to ensure high product quality.
• Analyze test outcomes and monitor key testing metrics to uncover patterns and areas for enhancement.
• Actively participate in project kick-offs to grasp requirements, foresee risks, and influence testability from the outset.
• Advocate for user experience and product quality, working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to align QA objectives with delivery outcomes.
• Identify and communicate issues, risks, or dependencies early, escalating to product leadership when required.
• Mentor and support colleagues, creating an open, empathetic environment that promotes learning, feedback, and high-quality automation practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related area.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer.
• More than 3 years of demonstrated experience in test automation for both frontend and backend using Playwright.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript with experience in developing scalable, maintainable automation frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align with both technical and product teams.
• High attention to detail, a proven track record of delivering results, and a strong desire to contribute to organizational growth in a high-performing environment.
• Experience in establishing and driving test automation standards across teams.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers in test design, coding practices, and quality ownership.
• Demonstrates AI literacy, capable of utilizing AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and work quality while exercising sound judgment and critical thinking.
