Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design and create automation and performance solutions that align with organizational standards.

• Develop reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites and test harnesses.

• Construct tools and frameworks with high-quality code to streamline testing scenarios.

• Formulate and execute test plans and cases based on functional and design specifications, while analyzing and reporting test results to the teams.

• Collaborate with development teams to deliver business functionality punctually.

• Serve as a test lead, organizing the work of other testing personnel and delegating tasks.

• Utilize strong testing expertise to offer guidance and support project staff.

• Review and approve the outputs of project team members in writing scripts, expected results, test results, and defect descriptions.

• Ensure adherence to best practices and maintain testing activities on schedule.

• Focus on developing efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs, and Database testing requirements.

• Engage in internal and cross-team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, and technical reviews for assigned projects in an Agile setting.

• Participate in requirements and architecture/design reviews with a focus on test automation and performance strategy while ensuring best practices are followed.

• Actively take part in functional, system, and regression testing activities.

• Gather quality assurance data and metrics to provide valuable insights and conclusions.

• Estimate and conduct risk analysis for ensuring quality delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 8 years of software testing experience across all testing phases.

• Strong understanding of QA and testing methodologies, along with best practices.

• At least 5 years of experience as an Automation QA Tester.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in creating, maintaining, and executing automation tests using tools like Selenium and Python is mandatory.

• Over 5 years of experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred).

• Familiarity with SOAP and REST services, as well as an understanding of SOA architecture.

• Preferred experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks.

• Proficiency in using SQL for database querying is required.

• Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git.

• Knowledge of test data management techniques.

• Familiarity with change management and defect tracking tools.

• A passion for becoming a domain expert and learning new technologies.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written communication.

• High standards of confidentiality and the ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and trust.

• Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS/Azure and experience with testing microservices, containers, and Docker is preferred.
