Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and UX teams to identify and comprehend quality requirements for AI-driven applications.

• Analyze product specifications, user stories, and technical designs to formulate thorough test strategies, plans, and cases.

• Validate features powered by AI, including AI Agents, Agent Assist, Supervisor Assist, knowledge-based experiences, and other AI-driven applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and suites for frontend, backend, and API testing.

• Take ownership of existing automation suites, troubleshoot failures, identify defects, and facilitate issue resolution.

• Create new automated tests and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the team’s automation infrastructure.

• Conduct manual exploratory, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing as required.

• Work closely with developers to determine root causes of issues and enhance overall product quality.

• Review automation code and offer technical guidance to fellow QA engineers.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.

• Document, report, and track software defects using Jira and other engineering tools.

• Assist in improving QA processes, testing methodologies, and quality standards throughout the AI Apps organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 4–7 years of QA experience in a software development environment.

• Strong grasp of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and Agile development practices.

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.

• Practical experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with API testing tools and methodologies.

• Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#.

• Experience using Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and contemporary software development workflows.

• Ability to formulate and execute SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.

• Experience testing modern web applications, focusing on responsiveness, usability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a talent for identifying root causes and proposing solutions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality software products.
