Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Conducting manual game testing (black box testing);

• Identifying and monitoring project-related issues;

• Focusing on user experience, gameplay mechanics, graphics, and audio components to guarantee a seamless gaming experience;

• Engaging in the planning and execution of QA activities throughout all stages of the sprint lifecycle;

• Reviewing and evaluating game design documents and functional specifications;

• Developing test documentation (test plans, traceability matrix, test cases, checklists, test reports);

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing suites using tools like Playwright;

• Facilitating effective releases and fostering collaboration within the team;

• Offering feedback and suggestions to enhance quality and gaming experience.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English - capable of articulating identified issues clearly and concisely;

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software testing (experience in game development is a significant advantage);

• A methodical, scientific, and analytical approach;

• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and STLC;

• Expertise in Test Design techniques and their practical applications;

• In-depth knowledge of Testing types and levels and their relevance;

• Experience with Agile development methodologies, processes, and tools;

• Familiarity with multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, web, social media platforms);

• Proficiency with Jira or similar project management software;

• Experience with TestRail or comparable testing software;

• Demonstrated flexibility in adapting to changes in project requirements;

• Strong organizational skills;

• Ability to align work shifts (primarily) with the rest of the team for effective collaboration.

• Additional advantages include:

• Certifications such as ISTQB;

• Test automation experience: proficiency in writing, reviewing, and debugging end-to-end automated tests;

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably JavaScript/TypeScript;

• Familiarity with Playwright/Cypress/WebdriverIO or other web test automation tools;

• Experience with version control and CI integration (Jenkins/GitHub/GitLab).
