Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Gain a deep understanding of Backblaze products and their software architecture.

• Take full ownership of end-to-end testing across UI and API, establishing yourself as a reliable quality partner for product and development teams.

• Champion the importance of testability throughout the software lifecycle and work closely with product owners to ensure well-defined acceptance criteria.

• Develop test strategies and create structured test plans for new features under development.

• Design and automate tests using Python/JavaScript while contributing to existing test harnesses.

• Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing for Backblaze API and user interactions.

• Utilize AI to improve these workflows and expedite the testing process.

• Collaborate with developers to clarify functionalities and assist in defect resolution by identifying, documenting, and verifying software issues.

• Define and execute improvements to the QA process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of QA experience with a focus on large-scale testing.

• Proven experience in API testing and a solid understanding of cloud storage concepts.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong background in scripting and test automation tools (such as Selenium or Playwright).

• Capable of leveraging AI tools effectively in testing processes and promoting AI integration.

• Familiarity with TestRail or similar test case management software, as well as JIRA or other project and issue-tracking tools is essential. Additional relevant tools include Jenkins, GitHub, and Postman.

• Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies and knowledgeable about SDLC processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and simply.

• Experience in performance and security testing is an advantage.

• Cross-platform experience (Mac/Windows/Linux).
