Senior Python Engineer – Data & ML Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Processing and transforming transactional data from various banking sources.

• Designing data pipelines that address real-world data inconsistencies and edge cases.

• Developing systems for data normalization, categorization, and enrichment.

• Assisting in the development and integration of scoring models and ML-driven features.

• Collaborating with R&D to transition experimental models into production.

• Creating scalable, event-driven processing workflows.

• Participating in architecture decisions related to data, pipelines, and system design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Python in production environments.

• Strong understanding of data pipelines and transformation workflows.

• Proficient SQL skills with experience in PostgreSQL.

• Experience handling messy, real-world data.

• Background in integrating or deploying ML/analytics models into production.

• Familiarity with event-driven or distributed systems.

• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Capability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Comfortable working within a small team that values ownership.

• Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or transaction data.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform).

• Knowledge of message queues and event-driven architectures.

• Exposure to applied machine learning workflows.
