Senior Python Engineer – Backend, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Aggregate essential trading information from various distinct sources into a unified, easily queryable database.

• Design and execute data pipelines and orchestration workflows to streamline data ingestion and processing.

• Empower the client's team to monitor position modifications across daily, weekly, and monthly intervals with precision and efficiency.

• Recommend and establish a database strategy that utilizes a lower-level database as the main aggregation layer, with reporting directed to Snowflake.

• Guarantee data auditability and observability, ensuring clear traceability for the creation of each data point.

• Discover and highlight additional data opportunities as the project evolves, aiding the client in comprehending the broader potential of their data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior-level expertise in Python and SQL (PostgreSQL is preferred).

• Significant senior-level experience with MongoDB and Snowflake.

• Prior high-level understanding of processing Excel files/CSVs.

• Demonstrated experience in managing data: aggregation, modeling, pipeline development, and ensuring data reliability.

• Familiarity with data orchestration frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow or similar).

• Proficient in working with data warehouses and large, intricate datasets.

• Must reside in Brazil.

• The client team is located in California, so suitable working hours to allow for a reasonable overlap are expected.
