Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Create and implement resilient backend systems and cloud infrastructure.

• Develop reliable APIs and automate the infrastructure processes.

• Manage containerized workloads effectively.

• Build dependable real-time and batch data pipelines.

• Contribute to backend services developed using Python and FastAPI.

• Assist in infrastructure automation utilizing Terraform and Kubernetes (AKS).

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Backend Engineering, or Data Engineering positions.

• Extensive experience with Python development in production settings.

• Practical expertise in building APIs and microservices with FastAPI.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform.

• Significant experience with Kubernetes, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Familiarity with Docker containers and orchestration environments.

• Understanding of cloud networking concepts, such as CDN, WAF, and secure infrastructure design.

• Experience in constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.

• Knowledge of real-time and batch data architectures utilizing Kafka and/or Amazon Kinesis.

• Strong grasp of software architecture, distributed systems, and scalable platform design.

• Professional-level English communication skills, both written and oral.

• Capability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in agile settings.
