Senior Python Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Taking responsibility for features, overseeing their journey from conception to deployment.

• Assisting in identifying and resolving bottlenecks and performance issues, thereby improving the overall system efficiency.

• Offering customer support and demonstrating dedication to code quality through active involvement in troubleshooting activities.

• Developing remote state and operations backend for Terraform / OpenTofu.

• Creating APIs for the Infrastructure as Code platform, facilitating configuration and management of the user environment via UI/API.

• Integrating with third-party services such as VCS, online payments, cloud computing, and more.

• Applying best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to maintain the quality of the codebase.

• Participating in code reviews, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical, product-oriented experience managing backend systems in production, from design to deployment and ongoing optimization (Python).

• Knowledge of concurrency and parallelism (threading, multiprocessing, gevent, asyncio, etc.).

• Experience in backend web development.

• Understanding of OOP and Design patterns.

• Skills in relational database design and query optimization.

• DevOps experience (Terraform, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack, etc.) - This would be advantageous.

• Familiarity with Linux systems - This would be advantageous.

• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stack, sockets, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.) - This would be advantageous.

• Experience with Go - This would be advantageous.

• Background in full-stack web development (ReactJS) - This would be advantageous.
