This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership—especially the President and CEO—by consolidating various environmental insights into clear briefings and summaries.

• Support senior leadership’s enterprise risk management initiatives by examining how NRMP and related topics are portrayed externally, along with the potential reputational risks or advantages they may present.

• Suggest and create proactive communication strategies and plans, messaging techniques, or engagement opportunities based on observed patterns in media coverage, policy discussions, and stakeholder sentiments.

• Assist in formulating response strategies to both favorable and unfavorable media coverage, including promoting positive coverage and addressing criticism or misrepresentation thoughtfully.

• Track media (both print and online), trade journals, policy platforms, and social media for mentions of NRMP, the Match, and associated issues to pinpoint trends, emerging challenges, and significant narratives.

• Evaluate tone, sentiment, and reach concerning NRMP; prepare regular summaries or alerts for senior leadership and advise on areas where broader engagement might be beneficial.

• Identify relevant topics/themes and facilitate online discussions and responses to social media posts, stakeholder inquiries, etc., ensuring correctness, conciseness, and alignment with NRMP brand identity.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in communications or marketing.

• Extensive experience in media monitoring and engagement, as well as media intelligence platforms; strong preference for expertise with the Cision One platform.

• Familiarity with content management systems; strong preference for experience with WordPress.

• Proficient in design software; expertise in Canva is required.

• Knowledgeable in social media technology and corporate social media management tools such as Hootsuite.

• Proactive, purpose-driven approach to work with the ability to act swiftly.

• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting data for a non-research audience.

• Ability to build relationships that foster collaboration across the organization.

• Capacity to work independently and manage projects and priorities proactively.

• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
