Senior Property Claim Specialist – Homeowners, Dwelling Fire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Accountable for desk adjustments of first-party property claims.

• Evaluate coverage, investigate loss causes, assess damages, and review estimates.

• Support the management and training of team members.

• Implement virtual claims technology.

• Professionally communicate while addressing inquiries and collecting claims information.

• Review estimates and make necessary modifications and adjustments.

• Maintain claim files with detailed notes and summaries.

• Ensure claim resolutions adhere to good faith handling guidelines.

• Assist in the training and mentoring of team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A college degree is preferred.

• Experience with large losses is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in managing and handling Homeowners and Dwelling Fire claims.

• Ongoing insurance education and/or relevant designations.

• Proficiency in Xactimate.

• Knowledge of construction.

• Capability to scope property losses.

• Thorough understanding of insurance contracts.

• Ability to identify subrogation and salvage opportunities.

• Strong negotiation and settlement abilities.

• Experience in a demanding Public Adjuster environment.
