This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Collaborate closely with technical experts, project leads, and project managers to create, develop, and oversee the Program’s Schedule Management Plan and Integrated Master Schedule.
• Construct and uphold project schedules for various CCN NG systems-related initiatives, VFMP projects, and related EDI efforts.
• Regularly engage with project stakeholders, including the customer, regarding schedule status and metrics.
• Coordinate with the customer, contracts, Project Management Office, and Senior Management teams to establish and review interdependency processes.
• Update Senior Management and the scheduling team while generating enterprise-level reports.
• Create, revise, and maintain up-to-date project schedules on a weekly basis.
• Validate MS Project schedules against commitments and resource availability with the aligned Department of Veterans Affairs Program Manager and stakeholders on a weekly basis.
• Identify schedule tasks for integration into broader Integrated Master Schedules for CCN NG technical readiness and VFMP modernization initiatives.
• Develop MS Project macros to enhance scheduling efficiency and minimize errors.
• Identify and document dependencies between project schedules and coordinate updates to affected Integrated Master Schedules.
• Suggest mitigation strategies for high-risk milestones.
• Compile weekly schedule updates into a structured report for VA PMO leadership.
• Conduct monthly status meetings with VA PMO leadership to discuss successes, challenges, blockers, and recommended solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale IT or healthcare programs.
• Proficiency in MS Project for the development and maintenance of schedules.
• Experience with integrating schedules into Integrated Master Schedules and supporting Agile cadence.
• Demonstrated work experience with an Integrated Master Schedule.
• Understanding of both Agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Previous experience with federal clients such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency, or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is preferred.
• Familiarity with VA or federal program scheduling standards is preferred.
• Experience in a large healthcare organization is preferred.
