This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of and successfully deliver intricate, multi-faceted Operational Risk projects, ensuring they align with both regulatory and internal risk frameworks.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, engaging with senior stakeholders such as Risk, Compliance, and Executive leadership.
• Drive the entire project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation and subsequent optimisation post-go-live.
• Lead the implementation of risk frameworks (e.g., RCSA, KRI, Issue Management, Risk Appetite).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations (e.g., Basel III/IV, SOX, FCA/PRA guidelines when applicable).
• Identify delivery risks and interdependencies across various workstreams, proactively addressing them.
• Manage extensive, cross-functional teams that include business units, technology, and third-party vendors.
• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities for growth within client engagements.
• Contribute to the advancement of delivery methodologies for risk transformation initiatives.
• Lead complex enterprise-wide transformation efforts that frequently involve multiple geographies and business units.
• Define and manage the scope across interrelated workstreams.
• Oversee governance structures, including the formation of steering committees and executive reporting.
• Ensure that robust risk and control frameworks are integrated within project delivery.
• Meet stringent regulatory deadlines and audit requirements.
• Monitor and report on program-level KPIs, risks, and outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering complex Operational Risk or Regulatory Change programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Operational Risk frameworks (RCSA, KRI, controls, incident management).
• Experience in highly regulated sectors, with a strong preference for Financial Services.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale, high-risk, multi-stakeholder programs.
• Ability to effectively engage and influence senior executives and regulators.
• Certifications such as PRINCE2 / PMP (expected).
• Additional certifications in Risk Management (e.g., CRISC, FRM) are a significant advantage.
