This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee and support one or multiple project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Plan, track, and report on project progress to ensure alignment with agreed thresholds and objectives.

• Manage project performance, including financials, scheduling, and quality assurance.

• Scope management: Define and maintain the scope of work for projects in accordance with contract specifications.

• Conduct change order management processes.

• Planning: Develop and uphold comprehensive project management plans.

• Create and maintain detailed project schedules.

• Financial management: Develop and oversee project budgets and estimates.

• Risk management: Formulate and manage Risk Management Plans.

• Create and update the Risk Register and Risk Mitigation Plans/Actions.

• Quality: Plan and ensure that projects meet established quality standards.

• Understand and execute document control functions for all project files in compliance with PMO standards.

• Collaborate closely with development, testing, and accounting to ensure complete project awareness among all divisions/groups and adherence to PMO protocols.

• Ensure that Requirements documents, Design documents, User Manuals, Administration Manuals, Release notes, and training documents are synchronized prior to customer delivery.

• Project deliverables / scrum: Organize, facilitate, and document all Scrum activities (e.g., planning sessions, daily scrums, reviews, and retrospectives) while keeping stakeholders updated on team progress.

• Lead the requirements gathering and tracking process, coordinate design stage meetings, manage scope creep, assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), documentation, and deployments.

• Resource management: Conduct resource planning and forecasting.

• Oversee day-to-day project tasks.

• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve resource and delivery conflicts.

• Client handling: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong and collaborative relationships.

• Attend and coordinate customer meetings, providing timely follow-ups.

• Identify and pursue opportunities for additional tasks or functionalities that may benefit the customer.

• Work closely with Business Development on new business opportunities.

• Conduct product demonstrations for clients.

• Develop proposals, contracts, sub-consultant agreements, task orders, and statements of work.

• Complete, review, and approve customer status reports and invoicing.

• Communication/reporting: Maintain and communicate overall and individual project status forms to other groups, customers, and third-party consultants; manage all stakeholder communications.

• Maintain high-level project status forms for management reporting.

• Sales: Participate in proposals for project management activities, including writing responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Traffic, Civil, Transportation, or Electrical) or Computer Science.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Agile development environment.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the complete software development lifecycle and delivering all phases of an IT project.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Operation Management methodologies.

• At least 5 years of experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems.

• PMP Certification is required.

• CSM certification is a plus.

• Proven experience in scoping, planning, and leading multi-phase, multi-million-dollar projects.

• Ability to lead teams of 5 or more developers, with a full-size team of 8 or more individuals.

• Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving.

• Exceptional organizational skills are essential.

• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

• Experience with Java programming is an advantage.

• Understanding of business development and marketing practices.
