This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the company's construction and performance contracting initiatives.
• Advocate for and promote the Company’s vision, mission, and core values.
• Ensure compliance with internal Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, and Controls protocols.
• Responsible for ensuring project adherence to Employment and Payroll legislation.
• Develop project management plans for industrial construction endeavors.
• Assist in the planning, initiation, and execution of work breakdown structures (WBS).
• Attend and prepare for meetings with clients.
• Compile and present project progress reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including during Executive level meetings.
• Manage and coordinate safety and quality initiatives for projects.
• Aid in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of project construction schedules.
• Review, control, and monitor daily labor, equipment, and materials usage.
• Identify and address changes in project scope or differing conditions.
• Ensure all necessary project and regulatory inspections are conducted.
• Prepare and expedite lists of project deficiencies.
• Oversee the financial aspects of contracts.
• Proactively address and resolve challenges.
• Build and maintain trustworthy relationships with vendors, contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, direction, and performance reviews for direct reports.
• Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Collaborate and contribute across various operational and supporting departments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Over 15 years of experience as a Project Manager in General Construction and Mining.
• PMI/PMP certification is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Procore software is a plus.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Must possess knowledge of construction terminology, scheduling, and planning concepts.
• Experience in supporting the planning, initiation, and execution of work breakdown structures (WBS), work packages, cost accounts, and earned value methodology.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• An effective professional communicator.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, integrity, and leads by example.
• Some travel to the site may be required.
