Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete delivery process across multiple simultaneous and intricate implementations, including core conversions, digital banking launches, and programs involving multiple vendors.

• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and stakeholder alignment proactively, acting as the decision-maker for your projects.

• Develop and maintain RAID logs, project charters, go-live readiness assessments, and executive status reports that provide real value rather than merely serving compliance purposes.

• Facilitate delivery discussions with clients at all levels, from technical team working sessions to executive steering committees.

• Proactively escalate risks along with a suggested course of action, rather than just flagging issues.

• Collaborate with account management to safeguard client relationships during complex delivery processes.

• Integrate AI tools (such as Kiro, Claude, and others) into your daily workflow for creating implementation plans, drafting client communications, analyzing project data, diagnosing issues, and generating status reports.

• Actively engage in Project Firehorse by sharing effective strategies, contributing to shared tools and playbooks, and assisting the team in transitioning from manual coordination to automated delivery.

• Identify repetitive manual tasks within your workflows and explore methods to eliminate or automate them; document and share your solutions.

• Contribute to the creation of AI-enhanced RAID logs, predictive go-live risk assessments, and automated deployment readiness frameworks.

• Leverage Kiro and MCP integrations (Jira, Confluence, GitLab) to expedite issue diagnosis, release tracking, and inter-team collaboration.

• Maintain and enhance PMO standards, templates, and delivery processes, focusing on opportunities for automation rather than mere documentation.

• Equip your projects to produce meaningful data signals, identifying predictors of go-live risk, bottlenecks in implementation, and recurring client challenges.

• Develop implementation playbooks based on your delivery experiences that can be reused, refined, and ultimately generated by AI.

• Collaborate with the Director, Delivery Program Manager to advance the delivery operating model as Firehorse evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the financial technology sector, banking, or within complex enterprise software delivery environments.

• Proven track record of independently managing large, multi-stakeholder implementation programs from start to finish — not merely supporting them.

• Strong preference for experience in core banking conversions, digital banking launches, or multi-vendor integration programs.

• Active and practical use of AI tools in your daily responsibilities — you should be able to clearly describe what you have created or automated, not just state that you “use AI.”

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities — you produce status updates that executives actually read and facilitate meetings that result in clear decisions.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity without losing forward momentum; you establish the path when one is not defined.

• Experience engaging directly with clients at senior levels under high-pressure situations.
