• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of project sequencing and leverages this expertise to mentor project managers.
• Oversees various large-scale federal construction projects, including renovation, design/build, and new construction, with values ranging from $1M to over $50M.
• Assembles and leads high-performing project teams to ensure delivery is both timely and cost-effective.
• Remains updated on work methodologies and technologies to enhance project planning and execution.
• Acts as the primary liaison for guiding and inspiring project management teams.
• Prepares and assesses budgets, cash flow, subcontract agreements, scopes of work, and pay applications.
• Guarantees positive cash flow and adherence to the Prompt Pay Act.
• Aids in conflict resolution, personnel issues, and project-related challenges.
• Reviews monthly invoices, submittals, and documentation, including RMS.
• Provides mentorship to project managers and field staff, fostering professional development.
• Demonstrates knowledge of government documentation requirements and disseminates this information within the team.
• Effectively delegates responsibilities and nurtures the skills of direct reports.
• Clearly articulates expectations and offers guidance on cost-loaded schedules and critical path elements.
• Engages in bidding, proposal creation, subcontracting, and change order management.
• Ensures that projects adhere to timelines and contractual obligations through to completion.
• Cultivates strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to facilitate future opportunities.
• Monitors project finances, forecasts performance, and supports revenue objectives.
• Manages A/E firms and coordinates throughout the entirety of the project lifecycle.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree based on contract specifications.
• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, USEPA, USAF, NPS, or Coast Guard projects.
• Strong comprehension of federal contracts (JOC, IDIQ, SATOC, MATOC, etc.).
• Proficient in planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring contract compliance.
• Skilled in MS Office, MS Project, Teams, Viewpoint, AutoCAD Reader, and other essential software.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and secure necessary clearances.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
