Senior Project Manager

📋 Description

• Direct the daily management of projects within a complex digital product engagement, ensuring clear priorities, timelines, deliverables, and accountability across all workstreams.

• Act as the primary point of coordination between internal AKQA teams (strategy, UX, design, technology) and client stakeholders.

• Oversee project schedules, milestones, and dependencies with great attention to detail, proactively identifying risks and facilitating timely resolutions.

• Manage scope and change control, collaborating with discipline leads to evaluate impacts and maintain alignment on approved work.

• Assist in resource coordination, ensuring the right personnel are engaged at the appropriate times throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead regular project ceremonies and working sessions, ensuring teams remain aligned and focused on achieving outcomes.

• Maintain transparent and consistent project documentation (status reports, RAID logs, decision logs, meeting notes) to keep all stakeholders informed.

• Collaborate with the client to manage expectations, communicate progress, and navigate complexities with clarity and composure.

• Ensure delivery processes are consistent with agile, waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as dictated by the engagement.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of delivery practices and working methods within the project and the wider team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of project management experience in a digital agency or product delivery setting, with a strong focus on digital products and services.

• Demonstrated ability to manage intricate, multi-workstream engagements with overlapping timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder groups.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to foresee issues before they arise.

• Clear and confident communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfortable working independently and proactively in a dynamic, remote environment.

• Proficient in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar platforms).

• Collaborative and solutions-focused, with a team-first mentality and a dedication to quality delivery.
