Senior Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Deliver hardware and software installation and configuration services to facilitate the deployment of Hitachi’s SCADA/EMS/DMS/OMS systems and applications.

• Configure and set up computers and servers, which includes: IP and network ID configuration, firmware updates, disk setup and partitioning, operating system installation, and hardening measures.

• Utilize the automation tool Ansible for system management.

• Perform installation and configuration of both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Conduct basic installation and configuration of Oracle Database Software along with other third-party software applications.

• Establish a system administration and security framework, which encompasses: Active Directory/group policy setup and user account creation.

• Install and configure multitier applications for Network Manager (SCADA/EMS/DMS/OMS).

• Administer system software inventory and manage project releases, including the configuration of Cyber Security Firewalls using Fortinet.

• Develop, coordinate, and execute plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing phases.

• Write or assist others in creating user documentation, instructions, and procedures.

• Produce clear and detailed as-built documentation, including system diagrams, sizing and configuration tables, and user policies.

• Ensure compliance with relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Proficient knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking in client-server environments.

• Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBS, Linux Shell Script, or Perl.

• Proficient in English (Mandatory).
