Senior Project Consultant – Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Execute projects in accordance with approved Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring that scope, schedule, and quality targets are achieved.

• Oversee technical implementation across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud Microsoft solutions.

• Adhere to established project delivery and quality standards.

• Engage in customer kickoff meetings, technical workshops, and solution evaluations.

• Proactively manage technical risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as necessary.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical problems during the implementation phase.

• Identify potential scope risks and assist in change management discussions.

• Keep precise project documentation and technical deliverables.

• Provide consistent project status updates to Project Managers and leadership.

• Accurately and promptly record project activities, service tickets, time reporting, and expenses.

• Facilitate internal collaboration with Sales, Architecture, and Managed Services teams.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 6–10 years of experience in delivering Microsoft identity, security, and modernization solutions (both hybrid and cloud).

• Demonstrated experience with: Entra ID security architecture, Conditional Access, MFA/passwordless, PIM.

• Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps) implementations and configurations.

• Understanding of Microsoft Purview fundamentals (labels, DLP, retention) and governance concepts.

• Experience in migrating security from third-party EDR/email security solutions (e.g., Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Postini).

• Knowledge of hybrid identity integration (AD DS ↔ Entra ID) and legacy authentication remediation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Security & Identity Protection Zero Trust Access (MFA, Conditional Access, Passwordless, PIM).

• Experience in Hybrid Identity & Legacy Security Modernization (AD DS ↔ Entra ID).

• Knowledge of Third-Party Security Migrations (e.g., Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Postini, Okta) to Microsoft.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security (Defender XDR, Purview) and Email/Collaboration Protection.
