Senior Project Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as the main financial representative for designated 501(c)(4) partners, ensuring precise accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Uphold compliance with GAAP and nonprofit regulations while overseeing project-specific financial documentation.

• Evaluate and authorize cash disbursements, invoices, contracts, and accounts payable bills to ensure they align with budgets and available funds.

• Generate financial statements, grant reports, and budget variance analyses for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making for partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in accounting, specifically in project accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting practices.

• Skilled in accounting software (such as NetSuite and QuickBooks) and CRM systems like Salesforce.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.

• Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data and articulate findings effectively.
