
Senior Program Officer, K-12 Field Readiness – Educators

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Create and implement investment strategies aimed at equipping school-based educators to adopt, utilize, and implement HQIM and AI-enabled tools.
• Design and oversee grants and partnerships with professional networks and organizations that support educators.
• Lead grantmaking initiatives and performance-driven investments that enhance educators' ability to assess AI tools, implement HQIM, and apply AI in a responsible manner.
• Foster relationships with school districts, teacher and principal associations, and unions to influence policy and decision-making.
• Offer internal technical guidance on educator preparedness, instructional support, professional learning design, and the translation of evidence.
• Serve as an external representative of the foundation, acting as a thought leader on the responsible adoption of AI for K-12 educators.
• Compile insights from the field and investment findings to pinpoint educator needs and adjust investments accordingly.
• Ensure coherence across professional learning initiatives, guidance on tool selection, and policy support.
• Collaborate with Product R&D, Implementation R&D, and the Measurement, Learning & Evaluation sub-teams.
• Establish co-investment frameworks, feedback mechanisms, and joint reporting structures with strategic partners.
• Promote an inclusive culture and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Advanced degree or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Mastery-level understanding of schools, education, and instructional methods.
• In-depth knowledge of how teachers, principals, and school personnel select and utilize instructional materials and AI-enabled tools.
• Extensive experience in designing and leading intricate, cross-sector collaborations.
• Significant background in managing grant or performance-based investment portfolios aimed at measurable outcomes in educator capacity.
• Considerable experience working with subject-matter associations, unions, and organizations that support teachers.
• Familiarity with the education research-to-practice continuum, including evidence standards and professional learning design.
• Proven experience with HQIM and AI in K-12 education.
• Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior education leaders and diverse external stakeholders.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization in the country where the position is based.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
