This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Assume primary responsibility for a substantial grantmaking portfolio, establishing its strategic direction.
• Evaluate funding opportunities to concentrate on those that are most impactful.
• Engage in external communication regarding your work and provide mentorship to fellow team members.
• Develop and manage a grantmaking portfolio that applies both rigor and creativity to funding challenges.
• Integrate thorough analysis of empirical evidence with your own insights to determine funding allocations.
• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in similar or directly related roles.
• Proven success in funding, establishing, or expanding new programs, initiatives, or organizations.
• Proficiency in utilizing rigorous quantitative analysis and cost-effectiveness modeling to inform decision-making.
• Skill in cultivating relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Experience managing substantial budgets and/or grant portfolios.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on directness and clarity.
• Ability to set and refine strategy within complex and rapidly changing environments.
