This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Provide strategic direction and operational management for several utility-sponsored energy efficiency initiatives across New England.
• Act as the main point of contact for utility clients on a daily basis, fostering robust relationships while ensuring effective contract implementation and outstanding client satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, supervise, and nurture Program Managers and other designated staff, while promoting team growth and professional advancement.
• Manage program budgets, staffing strategies, forecasts, resource distribution, financial outcomes, and contractual commitments.
• Track program performance, regulatory adherence, reporting obligations, quality assurance measures, and key performance indicators to guarantee programs continually meet or surpass client expectations.
• Facilitate regular client meetings and create executive-level presentations, reports, and program updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams, implementation partners, contractors, subcontractors, and trade allies to ensure smooth program execution and an exceptional customer experience.
• Identify operational enhancements and implement best practices that improve program efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall effectiveness.
• Assist in business development activities, such as proposal writing, client presentations, interviews, and transition planning for new contracts.
• Stay updated on utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and strategic initiatives as assigned.
• At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in managing utility-sponsored or utility-funded energy efficiency programs.
• Proven experience in direct collaboration with electric and/or gas utilities, implementation contractors, program administrators, or other utility partners throughout New England.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous programs, contracts, or client portfolios, including responsibility for budgets, staffing, and operational results.
• Experience in supervising and developing Program Managers or other professional staff.
• Familiarity with commercial, small business, multifamily, residential, market transformation, midstream, or pilot energy efficiency programs.
• Preferred experience in proposal development, business development, client presentations, or contract transitions.
