• Act as the main coordinator for EDI production challenges, assessing incoming defects and discrepancies related to X12 EDI transactions (e.g., 837, 835, 270/271, 278) and driving them to resolution in accordance with VA program timelines and SLAs.
• Employ Agile methodologies and JIRA to log, track, prioritize, and oversee EDI production issues throughout the entire defect lifecycle, ensuring thorough documentation of root cause analysis, resolution steps, and communications with stakeholders.
• Perform data analysis using SQL queries and searches across cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS) and VA-managed systems to examine production anomalies, validate transaction data, and resolve reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with VA contracting officers, program managers, EDI trading partners, and technical development teams to pinpoint systemic EDI data mapping challenges and suggest corrective measures or process enhancements.
• Create and sustain clear written documentation including issue logs, status reports, root cause analyses, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance program transparency and preserve institutional knowledge.
• Oversee EDI transaction volumes and processing trends to proactively identify emerging production risks, highlight patterns that require escalation, and support ongoing improvements in EDI operations across the CCN NG and VFMP programs.
• At least 5 years of experience in project coordination.
• A Bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field such as Health Informatics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in supporting federal healthcare agency programs, ideally within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VHA) or similar federal health IT or community care settings.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA PIV credential and successfully pass a VA background investigation; must comply with all federal contractor access requirements for VA network and systems access.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship; this role supports a U.S. federal government contract and is subject to applicable citizenship and residency requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in EDI Standards (X12) transaction workflows and experience in Agile project environments, including PI planning, backlog management, and JIRA-based task tracking across cross-functional teams.
