
Senior Professional Consequences Analyst – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Conducting consequence analyses for dams and levees to support screening-level, semi-quantitative (SQRA), and fully quantitative risk assessments (QRA).
• Utilizing advanced consequence estimation software (such as LifeSim) and methodologies.
• Reviewing or executing comprehensive hydrologic and hydraulic studies.
• Leveraging engineering and/or economic expertise to assess natural resource and environmental hazards, along with their associated costs and benefits.
• Performing data analysis, including the development of spreadsheets and the use of web-based applications and programming tools.
• Engaging in GIS analysis, which involves creating maps, tables, and figures for effective data visualization.
• Conducting site inspections, field investigations, and providing construction support services for the Tennessee branch.
• Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
• Interacting with client representatives and stakeholders, including delivering both in-person and virtual presentations.
• Contributing to research initiatives aimed at advancing best practices in the field.
• Managing task and project-level responsibilities, including scoping, execution, oversight, and delivery of multiple concurrent project assignments.
• Playing an integral role in lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring.
• Enhancing our reputation through publishing and active participation in leading industry groups and conferences.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, natural resources, or a related field (required).
• A minimum of 8 years of research or relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
• Proficiency with modeling software tools such as LifeSim (required).
• Proven experience in developing and delivering technical presentations (required).
• Competent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and related software (required).
• A valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
• An advanced degree in the same field (preferred).
• Professional registration (e.g., P.E.) (preferred).
• Familiarity with HEC-RAS, Flo-2D, and ArcGIS (preferred).
• Experience with feasibility and planning studies (preferred).
• Understanding of risk-informed decision-making principles (preferred).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to dam safety (preferred).
